Go to CCR.
Select Tree 1
Select Path 3
Select Record
Select END
Select Save

Of course - depending on your voice mail unit, you may have to disable CCR in the Table before you do any of this, and then re-enable when you are all done.

F983, LOG & PSWD, OTHR, CCR, ADMIN, and then choose your tree to modify.

You probably will have to disable the tree in your AA Greeting Table it's assigned to before you can make changes.

This may be a dumb question, but how big is your office? It sounds like you are using a CCR tree. Are you trying to change a path for a company directory? You may find that you don't even need a CCR tree. There are a few ways of recording a company directory. If the system was put in 8 years ago, the voicemail is probably a NAM or StartFlash. Now to make changes in the CCR as Marv says takes a few steps that most people miss and have trouble with. You need to change answer lines to No in F982 and also disable the tree to make any changes then make the changes and re-enable the tree and turn answer lines back to yes. This for a rookie tech is usually a confusing thing to fully complete. A couple of hours of training from a qualified tech will probably cost you a couple of hundred dollars. With that training, I would assume they would provide you with exact instructions on how to make any changes to your CCR Tree or adiminister your mailboxes. If the company is not willing to pay for it, I would pay for it yourself as it will save you a large Tylenol bill and possible councilling.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

You're right you don't have to change ANS to no, but it is a good idea since once the CCR is disabled the AA will not be giving valid greetings anyway.

hey..thanks again.....does knowing my system help?
I found out that it is 30NeGOONAT...
I have not tried anything yet. All I may want to do is change a recording of tree 1, path 3. I am still waiting to hear what this person has decided about having voice mail. I think he is getting used to it...but not sure.

I still think the easiest for you would be to delete the mailbox for this person. When he (or better still the boss) gets enough complaints then the boss would spring for a couple hours of training.

Playing around in Nortel's voice mail when you don't know what you're doing is very risky. Even seasoned technicians can forget some minor detail and bang their head against a wall until we slow down and re-think it.

As a business owner, I wish all my bills could be as small as a couple hundred bucks.

DMCSALES.

We are not forgeting anything. It was mentioned on the 29th by Crowtalks.

This would be a case where it would be better for the customer to have a tech familiar with the nortel system come in and do a little training and modify a few options. It would probaby cost a couple of hundred dollars for this to occur. This would be much easier for the customer to understand verse us trying to explain it to here over a forum post. It would allow her to ask a question and have it answered and show her what to do in that instance. Make much more since to her at the same time.
