I wanted to know does the M7100 Series telephone display caller ID? All the other phones do. I have it set in programming for Caller ID. I wondered if it did or not because of the one line display or if the feature is possible with the M7100.

If programmed properly, it should.....1 line display is also on M7208.

I do not think so...you need a ringing line or "Feat 811" for CID to work, no (unless call is transferred)?

Yes, it does show it after you pick up the phone on the M7100 it will show the telephone number. It does not display the caller id number while it is ringing like the other model phones. I guess that is by design.

But it's not going to show until after you pick up the phone, regardless of how it's programmed. What good is CID after the fact?
So, to answer the original question, "no".

My wife's phone is a M7100 and CLID works as it should. Keep in mind the line must be assigned to it, or be transferred to it.
If it's not for you, check all the programming. CLID can be tricky with nortel. For some stupid reason there are several places to set it up.

I don't think the older software pre 4.0 showed up to screen. I think it was only after 4.0 if I remember.
Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol

Sorry about that been out of town. I've checked the programming and it displays after you pick up the M7100 to see the call that is coming in on CLID. I've a Norstar-PLUS with version 6.0. I will check the programming for that extension again. Like I said it does display after you pick up the handset.
