I apologize in advance, as I don't have the best knowledge of phone systems.
In our office we use Nortel T7316e telephones and we've had many problems lately with them (which I have been assigned to fix). All have been relatively simple to get information about except this one.
When a call comes in on extension 225, which is a phone in an office room one door down the hall, it rings on extension 221, the phone at the front door. It hasn't been much of a problem since both people at the separate phones can hear the wring, but it's rather annoying for the girl at extension 221... The phone isn't forwarded, or at least it doesn't say it is.. it just rings in the wrong place.
Anyone know what I can do about this?
Thanks in advance!

It has nothing to do with the type of phone. It's the programming of it that is not what you want.
Remove the "Ring" for that line at ext 221 or the whole line, if not needed at ext 221.
There may also be an "Answer DN" assign at 221 for ext 225. Remove that, if it's the case.
You'll need installer access to do it. If you don't have it, call in someone. Shouldn't be too many $$$ for a trivial programming change like that.
Welcome to the board.

Thanks for your response!
You were right, an Answer DN was assigned to line 221 for some reason. I unassigned it and everything's working fine now. Thanks!
