It doesn't meter. XC required at least one 6 ports fiber card in slot 2. You had to listen to Marv and don't spend your time trying to make that work. NAM 4.0 and MICS 6.0 are not compatible.

I realize MICS 6.0 is not compatable with NAM VM 4.0. My question is can i just install the 6 port fiber card from my MICS 6.0 into my MICS XC 2.0 system , will the xc 2.0 software recognize the fibre card or do i need addittional drivers??

You are dealing with a telephone system.....not a computer....

Something tells me a Nortel tech should be involved here...

What kind of phone lines do you have?

You're asking for a heap of trouble in downgrading.

Well all is ok
I swapped the KSU with the origional one (XC 2.0) and everything seems to be 100%
The newer KSU we purchased used with the NAM VM as a package (from a large phone and communications company ??) and I was repetedly told that MICS 6.0 and NAM VM 4.0 was 100% compatable and that i was not programming it correctly
well all is not lost at least I have spare KSU parts HA HA
Thanks Guys for your help and advice.

Don't give up on your NAM
There is an option on the Nam
I think it is call forward Dn
the box needs to be unchecked
This option by default was turned on for
option 11 install, but fixed in later versions
There is even a disk you could put in the
Nam and boot up with that would fix this..
Better late than never..
