I have a BCM 400 that is now showing the CallPilot to have 0 minutes of storage available. The only service that isnt running is postgres, which will not start. I am extracting the log files now so I can take a look but the critical/major/warning alarms show errors:

43010- CTIVce: Less than 5% voice file space.
11201- File system /var near capacity
42200- add file error 4294967295
247- Core Telephony - Digital Station loop Error

Any Ideas?? As far as I know thre is no longer a way to get to the CLI to delete these files manually so I'm stumped.

The mailboxes are almost empty, Maybe 20 minutes total in messages. I'm thinking CDR files or other log files may be at fault???

I am going to try and restart the switch but have to wait till after 6pm.

But did anyone check the General Delivery Mail Box ? If the GD is not assigned to a phone, nobody checks it. I had one customer wonder why VM was running so slow. I found just under 3,000 messages in the GD Mail Box.

I ran a report on the mailbox usage. There was a box that had 20 min in 52 messages but I deleted that box entirely.

Well I restarted the system at 6:45am and its 10am now and it is still loading services. Has anyone had any luck removing the hard drive and installing it in a linux workstation to gain access?

Have you deleted the log files, system event files, and other files you can delete. You didn't mention what version BCM 400 you have. If it's a 3.7 and below its WinNT. Version 4.0 and above is linux. Since Nortel has been acquired by Avaya, their tech support website is a mess. If you have access to TSB of BCM product there are instructions on how to delete files.

I ended up pulling the drive and connecting to a linux workstation. The CDR file folder was using over 6 gig. I deleted the CDR logs and all was fine. Turns out if the CDR is set to push or pull the logs and something happens that it can not the log files eat up the drive space. Must be a bug though because there is a limit setting which is at 400 meg by default.
