This seems so complicated with near Shakespearism for relocating 2 bloody sets.

Hire a Telephone tech lol.

a site visit with a toner probe and punch down tool and these sets would have been moved before the first post was answered...

I also have to agree. You're going to need to send a tech in anyway to do the transfer and whatever your "notes" say could very well be outdated by that time.

I suppose your "notes" also indicate where in the building is "Ext xxx" like "2nd floor, 3rd door on the right, 4th desk on the left". I didn't think so. The tech has to physically find the extension phone to verify it's the one to move, it's not in use, & the same for the "new" port, so while there he checks the port.

So what's the big deal? Nowhere to a trained TELEPHONE tech.
