help I recently added a headset to a system phone, but am unable to make it pickup incoming lines, it continues to go to intercom regardless what the Preferred Line Assignment Incoming is set to? The phone is a KX-T7220 on a KX-TD1232E. Somebody, anybody please help. Unfortunatly I have very little experience with Panasonic. If it was a Vodavi, Avaya, or Nortel I could figure it out, but I'm lost here and the client is getting upset that we can't fix such a simple problem.

If I knew what I was doing I wouldn't be here.

It's a KX-TD1232E and the phone is either KX-T7420 or KX-T425. Do you think you know what's wrong?!? Thanks

Actually I think the phone is a KX-T 7030. My mistake.

Press the Program button, dial 99 to enter station programming. Then dial 2 + 2 and press the Autodial/Store button to enable ringing line preference. That's all I can think of.

ED,
He e-mailed me direct. Think we have it narrowed down to the phone not being programmed to ring. I've run into that before where it sounds like the phone is ringing but really it is the phone next to it that you hear. I will keep you posted.

I have the same problem. I have a Panasonic KD-T7420 and just got a headset. I would like to be able to pick up the ringing line as opposed to the intercom (which it is picking up now).

JD, at your set press:
programm 99 2 2 then store.
store is on the lower right, autodial/store.
There is also a headset mode so the speakerphone button will activate the headset rather then the speaker.
Headset mode is: program 99 9 2 store.
to cancel: program 99 9 1 store.
