I'm an intern at a small company in Philadelphia. We have a panasonic easa-1232 and a variety of phones such as the KX-t7020. We recently added 4 new lines and want to make each of those lines ring on seperate phones in the office giving people(the owner and other employees) the ability to contact these 4 people without being put on hold by the person who normally has to take all incoming phone calls. If you need additional information just message me. Thanks a lot. - Sam

This is two stepps.

First you need to program a CO line key on each of the phones. To do this you would go to the phone, move the switch on the back to "program"
Press a line key and dial 0 + the line number of that user's line (example 0 + 09 for line 9). The second part is for ringing and for that you need to get into system programming.

Have you worked with this system in the past or do you have the manuals? This is a little more imvolved.

Stephie

No, I have neither the manual nor experience. For the CO line key part, how do I determine the line number, is that the same as the number dialed for intercom usage? I'm ignorant but not dumb so simple explanations will suffice. If I find a manual online what would the feature I'm looking for be refered to as? I'd call it direct dial but I doubt thats the name. Thanks!

In no way to insualt your inteligent you may wish to consiter calling a trained professional.
There is also the issue on if you even have the line ports available for the added lines.
The manuals can help but I have seen many a system taken out of service by people that do not know what they are doing.
As far as the line numbers, they start as line 1 and go up to 12. As I am guessing that you have the older KX-T123210 or 123211 the system grows in 2 or 4 line increments.

Thanks for all the help. If this was something at my house I'd just wing it but I'm not about to ruin my social atmosphere by breaking this phone system.
