I'm not familiar with Panasonic KX-T30810 system. I'm not sure what revision it is, but will check next time now that I know where to look. I was using a KX-7731-B phone for programming in place of the KX-T30830 phone, and fumbled around looking for the correct buttons to use for programming. I seemed to have located the correct buttons, as I successfully programmed the date and time.
I want to program toll restriction on a few phones denying all outside calls with exceptions 911 (without 1)and 800. I put those sets in COS 3 successfully, and entered code 11 to try and pass off 911 and 800 as area codes, since they are 3-digit numbers. For some reason, I could not store any area codes. I tried experimenting with saving 415, 714, 212, but nothing would save.
The "Store" button on the KX-7731-B set which I am using in place of the "Memory" button on the KX-T30830 set(which I don't have) would not save the area codes as it stored the date/time and COS 3.
Does anyone know how I can store 911 and 800 as area codes or exceptions? Or, a better way to restrict with exceptions than the way I am doing this?
Thanks very much in advance for your help.

I'm not all that familiar with this system either but from reading the manual I don't think you can program the system without a KX-T30830 phone. On page 1-4 the flow chart states that ext. 11 must always be a KX-T30830 phone. It is also stated on page 2-1 in the programming instructions.

JJ, you should be able to use that set but you do need to be at station 11 and the system has to be in program mode at the system. It doesn't offer much but the fields you are concerned with are: toll restriction class=10 toll denied = 11 toll exception= 12 also toll detect or ignor # * =50 MrG

My manual reads code 12 is for Operator call. No codes for exceptions can be found in the KX-T30810 manual(only area codes entered though code 11, but these are not saved when I enter them, and I can't figure why.

Problem 1- area codes not saved in programming code 11 when storing them.
Problem 2- COS 3 not having any effect on phones dialing out. They can dial anywhere still. Programming saved. Reboot the system?

JJ, those codes are for a version 3. I also see that the 7731 wasn't even compatible with the early TA624 units and I'll bet it's not compatible with that old system. For some reason I was thinking 7031, I didn't catch the 77. Iwould think that's the problem. try a 7000 series set. MrG

you need to know what version you have. If code 11 is looking for area code (3 digit)then you have a version 1 if code 11 is tool restriction denied (7 digit) then it would be a version 3 MrG has given the codes for version 3 and it sounds like you have a version 1 manual you need the amendment email sent

OK, so the exceptions programming code for version 1 and 2 is 12? Will 911 and 800 be accepted?
That sounds right. There's no Memory button on this set, although "Store" worked for Date/Time. So, I need a 7030 or 7031.

The COS 3 changes are not taking effect, even though they are saved. Do I need a reboot to implement?

yes. I put the phones in COS 3. Re-checked later. Programming saved. Testing the phones there was no change, though. Could dial anywhere.

So I need 7 digits instead of 3 digits for code 11. Anybody know how I can implement 911 on a restricted phone?

add 911 to toll exeption code 12 Did you get the added features list?
Its been a while but I think you need this
code 10 set restricted stations to class 2 code 11 deny all numbers example 0****** 1****** 2****** etc.
code 12 add allowed numbers example 911**** 1800***

Apparently the system defaulted or the programing is scrambled due to the power failure.
Which means the lines are now all programmed to ring on the station port the fax is on.
If you are comfortable with programming your system and you have an installers manual reprogram the lines to ring at the desired station(s).
Due to the fact the programing changed after a power failure indicates to me that the internal battery is not keeping the data base stored so I would recommend that you call a technician to replace the battery if it can be replaced and let them reprogram the system while they are there.
Also it is possible you have more problems due to the power failure that you have not noticed yet and the technician may save you a lot of headaches in the future by checking the data base.

filippop Welcome to the forum next time you have a question please start a new thread as this problem has been solved so many techs will not read this to help you. As Bobby said your backup battery has failed. You need to have the battery replaced (part# P-01H-F2G1) and your database reprogrammed
