We have a KX-TA824 with KX-T7731 phones. All of the extentions lighs are always flashing when the phones are not in use. No one is on hold. The FWD/DND button also flashes at the same time but none of the phones are forwarded. Only when the line is in use it's solid but never off. What problem could this be? The CO lines work fine.

Thank for the help.

I disabled it, do I have to reboot the system for the change to take effect because it's still flashing.

firephone, go to each extension and turn off the DND. Are the extnesions set to CFB/NA to VM? If 112 is turned off it will stop the DSS.

I restarted the system after turning 112 off and it works. Thanks Mr G.

All phones have the FWD Call if busy on. It would have been a better idea for panasonic to make the FWD/DND light solid instead of flashing.

Thanks for all the help.

Firephone, Pana did make the flashing on the FWD/DND an option on the later TD systems and the TDA systems.
They never bothered on the analog systems.
I should have told you to restart the system, sorry.
Disabling 112 will not change the way your DSS keys work, as I'm sure you know by now, it just changes the way the LEDS react. Don't know why Pana. put that in there, nobody ever uses it.
