I have a customer that would like some changes done on the above system. i downloaded kxtd programmer to test connectivity.

One: the system is password protected when trying to access. is there anyway to reset the system password without resetting the configuration? there is no modem card and original installer will not call back.

Two: they have the TVS50 voice mail interfaced using a custom greeting menu. only the phone at the front counter rings (ext 101) which is fine but would like the cordless phone to ring as well (ext 104). how can i make these changes? Do they need to be made in the KX-TD816 or the TVS50?

Any and all help would greatly be appreciated

Thanks,
Greg

GH, welcome
The ringing assignments are in the TD816.
As for the password, No, you'll have to default the system.
If your taking over service on this you would benefit by starting from scratch and learning the parameters.
Chances are you won't be able to get into the TVS either.
It's a small system and you should be able to program it through a display set in 30 minutes or so.

Thanks for the quick response!
for some reason they only passworded the D816; i can connect to the TVS50.
where can i find the process of resetting the unit?

i guess i better brush up on the different settings.

Once i do this. where would i find the ringing assignments?
Is there any programming software you recommend for both of these units. i have not purchased any yet.

Once again thanks for your time

Thanks,
Greg
