We are trying to default a 1232 system at a new customer site. I have tried to follow the steps in programming with no results. Is there a secret for defaulting this system? A procedure would be greatly appreciated!

2. Set XXXXXXX
3. Turn on power
4. Press RESET Button

If powering up system with XXXXXXXX, you don't need to hit reset( does not matter if you do), just wait for the run light to start flashing before returning switch to normal.

I have reset the system and now I can not get two of the three expansion units to work. Is there something in programming I need to set. Expansion 1=8ext works
Expansion 2=8ext does not work
Expansion 3=4co does not work.

This is one of the reasons that we do not want passwords or default procedures posted for the general public. You have now created a problem where the system is unusable for the customer and will need to find a dealer to help reprogram it.

Burgie13, is registered as a tech, since 2007, and has 63 posts, so I did not see him as general public... but maybe on a open forum was not the right place.

if it was defaulted with all cards on the system, it will auto assign the cards to the ports

Not that you did anything wrong, things of this nature should be handled off line. So I am locking this thread down.
