You guys have the best forum for resolving technical issues and questions! I have a KX-TA824 and as recall there is no way to get a single line telephone to conference onto an active CO. I always have to put the call on hold then do a 53(line#) to pick the call up. I know the PT phones will do it and was hoping that there was a firmware change or a setting I don't know that would allow this. I like to use cheap wireless phones in certain areas(aka outside) but that one lacking feature is annoying!

why not have the active station; conference to you?

The problem is when some one else picks up the phone in another room they don't know to conf.

RJ, depending on the "cheap wireless phone" that your using, you should be able to press flash or sometimes recall, dial the extension and once they answer press that flash or recall again.
The system is looking to see the hook switch, so whatever button on that cordless phone does that,
that is what you need.

So this is what I would like to do. phone rings on CO1 and is picked up by another extension. I want to get or join the conversation on CO1 via a SLT by dialing a code which I can do by 531 if the call is only on hold. Is there any code to conference from the cordeless with getting the busy tone when the call is active with another extension? I know I can conf/transfer from a PT but I want to be able to do this with a SLT. Some lines just need the capabilty to conf or pick up with out too much hassle aka the home line.

Executive override??

Executive override is already enabled on all extensions but a good call. Override works for system phones but not SLT's.
