Hello all, I've been searching for an answer to my problem without success and I finally ran across this forum and I'm hoping to find an answer to what is probably a simple fix.
Last week I was changing the contrast of my LCD display and started poking around to see what my phone was capable of and somehow I managed to remove the date/time display on my phone. I have spent a few hours trying to figure it out and I can't seem to find the correct setting. I can go into programming and see that the date and time are correct, but I can't, for the life of me, manage to turn the display back on.
Our office manager said she could call the phone tech in, but I'm sure it's just a setting that I am missing somewhere since I turned it off on my extension, I should be able to turn it back on I'd assume.
If I wasn't bald, I would be pulling my hair out right about now. HELP!!!
Cheers,
-Rikk

Thanks for the quick reply, but when I do that, my display looks like below. Almost like it is trying to save a number.
#
<- CLEAR STORE
Any thoughts?

That indicates you must have a tda, tde,or ncp system. When the phone is idle, one of the prompts on the display of the phone should show INFO, and if you press it, it should toggle back to the time/date.

It does indeed have that display, when I push the info button, the screen just goes blank for a second, then the "info ring menu" screen comes back up.
Ring and Menu work, but Info just flashes the screen. :bang: :bang:

Try pressing the TRANSFER key while the phone is on-hook idle.

It does the same thing as if I push the INFO key. Just flashes the display.

Rikk, was that with the * (STAR) key, or just with the # (POUND) key. I saw Mr.G suggesting the pound key, but I am suggesting the star key.
