Make sure the lock switch on the sd card didn't get moved to the locked position.

Thanks ictelco, I did check that even though I was able to write to the card.

Just an update, I did as ictelco recommended and brought out a new 256MB SD preloaded with the full V5.003 Files. (Panasonic says any SD card less than 1 GB and at least 32MB will work fine).Worked like a charm and had the system back up and operating with the converted DSYS in less than 1/2 an hour. Now that I have the original SD Card in hand , and no client glaring over my shoulder , I found the problem. The original SD card has 2 PRIVATE folders on it. The 2007 original and my transfered 2010 from Thursday as a sub-directory. What is strange is that I was prompted by Windows that it was going to over-write the original files, which I selected "YES TO ALL". so I'm not sure how it ended up just created another PRIVATE sub-directory?
