I set up a Panasonic KXTA-824 with toll restrictions and an account code of 7654. I set the extension account code mode to verify-toll. When I try to enter the account code before the number I'm dialing, it does not work. When I try to dial the number first, the system doesn't let me. When and how do I enter this account code so as to make a toll call?

I read the manual. It just says you need to dial the acocunt code within the first 5 seconds. I pick up the phone, push the button for line 1 and dial the account code 7654. It is 4 digits long as required in the manual. As soon as I push the 7 key, the LCD says "Restricted" and the call does not go thru after I dial the whole thing, e.g. 7654 202 555 1212. Nor do I get a second dial tone after dialing just 7654. This doesn't work either: 202 555 1212 7654.

Anyone?

The station is not locked (PC program 2-2), and has outgoing call access (3-2). Account code mode is set to "toll-verify" (2-1) meaning the system should verify all toll calls by requiring an access code. The extensions are set to Class of Service 3. The toll restriction that apply to COS3 are deny all (xxxxxxxxxxx) with exceptions of 301xxxxxxx and 8xxxxxxxxxx.

As soon as i dial 1, the LCD on the phone says "Restricted". Dialing the account code does not let the call go thru.

Please tell me exactly what I need to do and what buttons I need to push to make a toll call. For instance, go offhook then push ....

Does your account code match the ext password of an ext that is not restricted?
