Cust has had the tva50 for years, but now we need to change the messages. Employee that no longer works there, changed all the passwords and I can't access the unit. I tried resetting by putting dip switches 1 and 3 down powering up, waiting till the light blinks 5x, powering down, putting all switches off, then power up. I still can't get into system thru usb. this is an old unit with no modem or link connection. When I try to access dialing ext 107, it reads busy in display phone window.

if you defaulted the unit you will have to connect via usb and you will have to do a quick setup and tell it what system it is connected to ! if you are a dealer panasonic would have done a password reset
for you a default was a bad idea if you didn't have
a backup file to uplaod

I am a panasonic dealer, just haven't used the TVA50 in a couple of years. I was able to get the right drivers and connected thru the usb port. When I run the "quick setup" and changed the ksu to the 624/824 I get an error receiving extension and first name. Also run light blinking on ksu

The error message and the blinking light might be due to the KSU having lost its programming. Are you working on a 624 or an 824, and did you default the entire setup or just the TVA50? Have you gone into system programming and re-specified the jacks where the TVA50 is connected?

Right now it is a 624 that I had as a spare. The tva50 will be connected to the cust's 824. I checked field 130 and it is set for port 7 and 8 still. I only defaulted the tva50

Eagle, all others too, please don't put so much info up. I realize it's an 'open', so to speak, VM, but not everyone that reads these posts has a manual or history with the equipment. AS you are well aware, it's quite easy to hose the '50' program!
