I have the manuals for the DK16, 16e, and 40i flat pack systems, but not the 40.
an the DK40 expansion pack handle an RCOU/RCOS combo or only the base RCOU card?
So... what is the CO capacity for the DK40 with expansion?

My book shows the DK40 SUE will accept the rcou+rcos cards. Set the code as 17 in program 03. The maximum configuration I see would be 12 co ports 24 digital ports and 4 analog ports.
