hello guys got myself in a jam this time. put in a sts with door box. they had a door box but not part of the old system. it is an aiphone, model c-ml. i think i have the voice pair figured out but dont have a clue with the strike plate. i didnt even know they had one. they have six term screws on the inside recieve box. marked L - + on the lft side and on the right side marked L E 1. 1 and E seem to be for the outside box, my guess is the -and + are voltage in and the ones marked L are for the strike plate. thing is one has 3 lines going to it differant shades if red and the other one has one line thats yellow. anyone able to make sence out of this. thanks dave

A search of Aiphone's website reveals the following:
Terminals 1 and E are for the door box.
Terminals + and - are for power
The two L terminals are for the strike plate.
Are you using the Aiphone strike plate or one that's already in place?

The Aiphone C-ML you mentioned is what goes inside. Are you using an Aiphone C-D on the outside?

That sounds like the Aiphone unit.

I just bought a condo that has an Aiphone C-ML intercom system. Once I moved in, I found out that it doesn't work. I changed the 4 C batteries in the inside unit, still no luck. I took the cover off the outside unit, and blew out a couple spiders... still no luck. Should I buy a whole new unit, or is there something else I can check?

You'd be a whole lot better off starting your own topic on this instead of attaching to an old topic.
