OK,
The doors are closed /fans off and they are
complaining of low volume in side and out.

Ive never had a low volumne complaint on a Toshiba
Its a 424 /2 pdku 2 rcou/s and 2020sd real simple

Im going to do line level tests for co lines
,but any ideas on low internal vol

prog 27 receiver volume at 4 ,but trans
vol is low.

Is there a processor version that caused low vol?

What is bump in this context? I know bump if my old Honda hits a pimpmobile on Hollywood Blvd., and I know bump when I rap someone on the head for being off a half a pair, but bump on low volume?

Hmmmmm........

And, if the doors are closed and the fans are off, how well can you hear on a regular handset that is at default volume setting? (With no one shouting at each other of course and no gittars a playin.)

He "bumped" the thread back up to the top, Bunny. Ken, some things to look at in addition to testing at demarc:
Prog 10-1 LED 17 off
Pad jumpers on the RCOU/S set to 0
Swap out phone

Are you testing for low volume with a Toshiba handset or their headsets?

Have you tried raising the volume using the vol. up button (yes it will go back to default).

Is their some reason you don't want to leave it at a higher volume in programming (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).

Went there last night,
1- 10-1 led 17 is off.
2-pad switches on rcou/s off /replaced rcou/s .
3- headsets gone.
4-line level tests good.
5- customer complained of not being able
to call retail area with 8 sets from icm in
quiet office
"I can here them they cant here me "
place was closed real quiet ,and i start to call retail phones 1 at a time answer back fine
1/2 way down a large gas ceiling mounted heater goes on ,good by h/f talk back.
heater went off ,all ok ,heat on gone
again.

This is without any business going on and there could be 20-25 people around .
They also could have 8-10 drivers milling around
and they were in a seperate room at old location

So that being said i'm back to a loud enviornment problem.I dont think any system would function
well .

The sound of the heater is being picked up the microphone and since the phone is half-duplex it cuts out the mic. Can't they pick up the handset when this happens?

Or can the HF answerback be shut off for those stations? With that kind of background noice, no half-duplex is going to work in hands-free mode. They are going to have to use the handsets or headsets.
