I have a extra DK424 that im now going to use, new pdku2 and new amphenol cable. I terminated the new cable on a 66 block, plug it in to the pdku and try any port on the 66 block I get a clicking sound. So my question is the Amphenol connector a special pin out? Thanks

Are you testing the port by connecting a digital phone set?
As far as I know, the Toshiba phone systems use standard 25 pair wiring on all Amphenol connectors.

Does the 424 system know the pdku-2 is there .
Did you add it in sys programming and recycle the system ?

Lol, yes theres a digital phone connected to it and the most important thing I forgot to mention is that I tested the Amphenol cable on a working DK424 and PDKU. All I got was the clicking also. Thats why I was wondering if Toshiba maybe had them pinned out different. Im sorry my first post was a little misleading. Thanks for your responses.

So assuming you punched the 25 pair down correctly and you attach 1 pair to the first pair on the block [white/blue]
Put that pair on a jack red/green and plug in a phone you get a click.
Is the phone good ? have you plugged it into a known good jack?
When you asked is the toshiba pinned out different what did you mean /different from what ?
So it would be 1st pair skip a pair next skip a pair using a 66 block and 25 pair cable
There are 3 headed cables made by express that use 3 amp s on a 25 pair and they go straight down.
Theres a manual page above.

buy a two pin adapter to easily plug onto the 66 block. and be sure to leave it hooked up long enough for the lcd to gain resolution. unless the plug is mispunched there should be 8 stations on it somewhere. m

We have had the symtoms you describe before and it has been the PDKU that was bad especially from lightning damage, just a thought.
