Help us out a bit here, list the cards in order from left to right and we can tell you the ports.

You can set up a distributed hunt group in *40 or a plain old voice hunt group in 33, both will work.

If the voice mail only answers incoming calls at night, you program the hunt group number (1st is 850) to ring in 87 and if you have a voice hunt group made up in 33, you have ONLY the first port ring on all lines.

Amy had some great posts a couple weeks back about setting up the 3 vm programs (603, 656 and 657) at each phone. Check that out and there will be no need to type it again.

HEY, why don't we create a frequently asked question section? I think a lot of people could just look at the 603, 656 and 657 section and never have to ask us a question, just like a dentist using cavity preventing stuff in your mouth.

Port 016 is your first vm port.

If you have a 4 port vm, your ports are 016 to 019.

In 31 you can program four ports at once by specifying 016*019 as the ports. You turn off the leds that are on now and turn on only the leds specified for the vm ports in 31. You set ringing in 81 if the vm operates 24 hours a day or in 87 if you switch from day to night and back. If you use *40 to create a vm hunt group, you will use turn on ringing for port 850 in 81 or 87.

Get that much done and the first time the vm answers correctly you will slap your butt in glee.

Then go find Amy's posts for 603, 67 and 657. Hunt, don't make us type it again please.

If they liked it gentle I would do it gentle. I always say, Safe, Sane and Consentual, you get to pick one of the three. Trust THE Bunnie

We are still waiting to see if MKD has given it a try. A voicemail only seems intimidating if you don't have a steering wheel cover without a testosterone time release inplant.

I will give it a try this weekend (since this is a favor to a friend, not my normal 9 to 5). I'll update you then! I was going over all of my configuration sheets last night and it all makes sense now! Thank you again for all of your help, and I will update you over the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who helped me in setting up this system. Especially Bunnie and Voyager.

Everything is working (with one exception... see my most recent post) and I would never have been able to do it without your help!

Lots of people are intelligent and competent, they only need a few pointers.

Some thirty years ago I was making a presentation on natural light photography to the Conn. Professional Photographers Association and brought my good friend Al Goldstein to the meeting and he sat at the head table with me. He didn't have a studio and many people were upset that a "non-professional" photographer was setting at the head table.

Someone befriend him and not long after he joined and became a member. A year or so later he established a studio and a couple years after that he was elected as the President of the Conn. Professional Photographers Association. He moved to Tenn a few years ago, but his brother still is the editor of the New England Professional Photographers Association Journal.

You never know how far someone will go if they just get a little help, a little boost. Most of the people we deal with are unfamiliar not ignorant and it is a kind thing we do to help them. I have been stuck many, many times and every time someone helped me out became one more time I owed that favor back.

One of us can't do it all, but everybody pitching in sure keeps us going.
