I am setting up a DK280. All of the instructions tell me to run program 31 station class of service and turn on LED 04 (VM to
VM call blocking) to enable voice mail (Stratagy DK). When I do this all extensions ring busy when I try to intercom them. Help.....

I am not near books right now ,but i would think the instructions only reference the voice mail ports not all ports .
so many only light 04 on your 2 or4/6/8 ports that
are v/m and off on all other ports.

not exactly... he told me to use program 31, which is the correct answer if you know what your voice mail ports are.

What's in program 13? Should be the first port of voicemail.

Oy Vey, what a fun thing.

If you look at your cabinet, the first PDKU card will be ports 000 to 007. Each PDKU card has 8 ports so each will increment the ports by 8.

Your voicemail is going to be on single line ports, most likely an RSTU, possibly an RDTU.

If you count the station cards from 000-007, 008-015, 016-023, etc. you will get to the vm ports.

In 31 you program only the VM ports.

Do you have a manual on this or any experience?

This would be faster on the phone than typing.

Good night I am going to bed now, and to all the Christians, MERRY CHRISTMAS, and to all the members of the tribe, HAPPY CHANUKKAH, and to all the pagans, HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE and to hell with all this happy holiday crap, it is Christmas or Chunakkah or Winter Solstice and to the ACLU, I have not been a card carrying member for over ten years and I will never be again.

Now I understand! I have been searching the manuals that I have and have not been able to find that anywhere.

I have NO experience on Toshiba... several years administration on Nortel and Cisco. But I have never set one up from scratch, which is what I am doing here. I am helping a friend's company. Someone in their office purchased this switch, without consulting anyone technical, and thought it would be "plug and play".

So far, the switch is functioning, the phones are programmed as they wanted them, and they have all of the features that they want - except voice mail. I am only able to work on it on weekends, which is making it more difficult.

Thank you everyone for your assistance.

For a Stratgy DK, the VM ports will correspond to the slot the card is in. As Bunnie was saying above, the first slot is 000-007, the second is 008-015 etc. Depending on where your card falls will determin what the ports are.
