I have a customer that has a DK 40 and has 16 telephones at the present time. They say their voicemail useage will be low to medium . (Most people are at their desks during the day) My question is Do you think that they could use a 2 port Stratagy Flash versus a 4 port flash. Is there a rule of thumb of ports versus telephones and storage?
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

If you don't use the Stratagy as auto attendant during the day, a 2 port should be fine.

That said, a 2 port is almost the same price as a 4 port and if they ever go to sell the system a two port it is not worth much compared to a 4 port.

It is much more expensive to buy licenses later than it is to buy them as a 4 port now.

Be nice to them, get them to buy a 4 port.

I agree with Bunnie - a 2 port is not even an option for me.

If they aren't going to ever add more people or go full time AA then a 2 port should be fine. What the 2 ports mean is there can only be two people using VM at one time.

Thanks Everyone
Called the customer and they decided that they will use the Auto Attendant, so that makes my 4 port decision a little easier.
Thanks again

Gee Greg, someone really likes you. They even spell YOUR name right. I've always wanted to stuff a baby alligator up some man's pantleg and now I know where I want to take my next vacation.
