Martin - is it possible to have crossed line 1 and 2 from a hand set if you his the wrong combination of buttons at the wrong time - and made the KSU think you were in a conference call??

Did you check the dial tone at the RJ11 going into the system? Can you program a key to see if you are grabing the lines? If so does the key stay lit when you have the trunk selected?

I'm not getting a light on the hand set for either line 1 or line 2...There are only 2 lines comming into the system. I do have dial tone at the rj11. I have check it by hooking up the fax to each of those lines and dialing out to my cell phone - both work fine. I've check all the connections, all the boards appear to be fine. The case as been shut ant operations fine for teh last year. But since last night - its like to dead lines with white noise on the other end.

Have you programmed either line to appear on the phones?
Did you initialize the system before you installed it?

the system has been up and operational for a year. Before that it was off for six months(left behind by a tenant)...I have done nothing other than plug in the wires and make calls. All the stations have not changed....Is there a way to "RESET" the system??

try pressing intercom 9, see if that will access a line, the phone may be denied co line access. You can use program 90 & 92 to re-initialize it.

OK, so the system was working fine and you could access lines and now suddenly you cannot?
Did you have a lightning storm roll through?
