Hi, I'm new to this system but I would like to know how can I listen and monitor the calls and conversations of employees.

What system do you have? It should be written on the case.

DKT stands for Digital Key Telephone and it is not the system that you have. You should maybe take another look at the phone system.
There is a system called the DK. That system does have an executive override that lets you listen to calls. I will research it in some manuals i have and get back to you.

Before you try this you should contact your lawyer as to how much you can listen to and not break laws.

When I was working in a call center it was actually posted in the center that calls may be monitored, and you always got the infamous "your call may be recorded for quality assurance" recording before actually speaking to someone. I am not sure what he xact laws are but like Merritt said I would look into it
I Swear I did not touch anything

Depending on how your dial tones come in, there are two ways to monitor. One is a device that connects to your copper dial tones and the other connects to your T-1 or PRI lines.
Do you know how your dial tones come in?

On a CTX, I've set up Executive override for some people that want to listen in. I explain very clearly that you have entered the conversation. They can hear you, there is no handset mute, and their display will show that you are conferenced in the call.
It also requires that their phone ring busy when they are on the phone, which may change the way they are used to doing intercom calls.
If you have many buttons, or only a few people to listen to, you can put their DN appearance on your phone and enter into their calls. Same notes as above (except the intercom part).

definetly take metelcom's advise that is a very illegal situation, i know all parties need to know that they are being monitored (including the party on the end of the call) but anything after that is over my head.

Please consider the laws of each individual state.
While some people are geo-centered, there are no UNIFORM state laws reguarding this.
Certainly some states allow recording the call if ONE party is aware it is being monitored. Your local lawyer can tell you the laws of the state in which you work.
