Hi, I know this has probably been posted already but I didn't see it. I have a dkt2020-sd & dadm2020 & I have absolutely no earthly idea how to program this. I did read BOTH manuals & they make no sense to me. Can someone please help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, K

You are going to need to post what system you are trying to run these on as many systems program a little differently.
You are going to need to go and look at the main telephone cabintet.

You have to program from port 005, which most often is extension 205 by default. To be sure you are at port 005, use a 20 button display phone and press [Intercom] # 4 0 2. The display will tell you the physical and logical port which should come up as 005. Now you at least know where you have to program.

You have to go into system programming. Someone will email you the passcode to get in. You press [Spkr] * 2 9 [Hold] and that takes you into the program. You press [Spkr] then the three digit port number ((most likely extension 211 will be port 011, extension 204 will be port 004, port 221 will be port 021)) then 1 then press the button you want to program either a one touch extension or whatever else.

If you want the button to be extension 208, you would dial # 0 0 8, another button extension 221, you would dial # 0 2 1, etc. and when you are done, dial [Hold] etc. then to get out of programming, [Spkr] # # [Hold] and once again [Spkr] # # [Hold].

All of this is much faster if you have a manual or have someone walk you through it on the phone.

Remember you press the buttons on the phone to program the buttons on the add on module, you never press the buttons on the add on module to program.

Help, I have the programming book in front of me for the Strata DK16 & I don't have a clue on where to start to program! I don't understand how I need to program this phone.

I need to be able to reprogram it for new employees and make the vm lights go off (I can't get my coworkers or the conference room vm light off).

Please tell me where I need to start or how to read this manual to begin programming. Thanks

btw KMK if you goto prg 05 in your manual you will see a bunch of codes that the system has preprogrammed for certain features. This program allows you to change those codes but I suggest not changing them unless absolutely necessary, however use that page in the manual as a reference as to what codes the system has.

btw, i did try the #409 on the phone & it gave me a busy signal.

here's a strange question--my manual says dk 16 but the box in the office says dk424, are these the same, as far as programming goes?

They are different ,but its strange that [intercom ]#409 did not turn out the light.

There is a manual link @ the top of the page ,It might be in everyones best interest ,that you get the correct manual.

The name is changed @ port 000 hopefully x200
and is in the administrators guide ,which you should pick up.

Since Toshiba programming gets a little deep
you may want to call in a local servicing
company so you have a relationship with a provider if something goes wrong.

If you have a 424 cabinet, it is MUCH different from a -16. A 424 is a carded system in a cabinet (roughly 1'x1'x2.5' long), the -16 is a small flat pack (2'x1.5'x6" deep). Go find the main cabinet. It is probably buried in a closet somewhere. Then get the proper manual.

Here is exactly what i have on my desk:

https://cgi.ebay.com/TOSHIBA-DKT202...091QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

if the link doesn't work then here is what i have: TOSHIBA dkt2020-sd & dadm2020

The ONLY manual that I have been able to find is the Strata DK16. Is this the wrong manual to program this phone?

I went and looked at the box I told you about & it says Strata DK424, but I don't know if its working or not. I'm assuming so b/c 2 lights are on, on the inside.

Sounds like you may need a different manual. The DK16 manual is more towards the DK280 and the DK16e manual would be based more towards the DK424. If you page up and look at The Bunnie's post you'll see it is pretty much accurate or at least enough to get you going on the programming. It should be PGM *29 like Bunnie said' and depnding on which port has the DADM on it, it will be that port number +1 in the program. Then # and you should be able to hit the corresponding LED's ( on the 20 button phone ). Then you should be able to put the extensions on the keys by using thier port numbers. Like I said Bunnie's post is informative enough to do this.

btw, did the message light go out?

KMK, when you get a chance, try to access a line.... I want you to try and access it throguh the line access code and please post which one works.

use intercom #7001 to get line 1
if that doesnt work try intercom 7001
or maybe intercom 701

This will help in troubleshooting your issue so we know what lvl of software you're working with.

No sense in telling you to hit #409 if the software is the older software that doesnt recognize the "#" and you may have to do just 409 without the "#" to clear the msg light. I think that will help trying to get that DADM programmed as well since ,to the best of my knowledge, the older software didn't have *29 as a program .

So let us know which line access works.

if #7001 worked then it wouldnt be the # as the issue....

Again lift the handset and hit the msg key , when the other phone rings have them lift the handset... do not do this on speaker for the light will not go out, you must lift the handsets.

As far as programming the DADM use program *29 like Bunnie said.... follow the manual.

Do NOT lift the handset, [Intercom] # 4 0 9 should turn out a message waiting light.

When you press the MW light it should say something is being called, a regular extension or a VM extension. If a regular extension, run your tail over to that extension and pick up the handset.

A smart thing to do is go into programming and go to programm 35. Turn off LED 04 for all extensions except the voice mail ports. This headache will go away.

Do you have the users naual for the phone? if so, teh procedure is in there. Teh code to access it from the phone is INT. then the # button followed by 621. Then you need to know how to add the letters. There is a chart in the users guide that explains it.
