I have 2 EKT6520-SD phones that both read "SENT 226" on each of their displays. The funny thing is, is that we don't have an x226 on our system, or an extension assigned to port 026. Any suggestions on how to remove the message from the displays? The system is a DK280.
Thanks again for your awesome advise! You guys are the best!

Try intercom, #64226 from both phones.

What are the port and extension numbers of your voicemail?
If you had 224, 225, 226 and 227 in a distributed hunt group for voicemail or other purpose, you could dial the code for that, probably 850 or 7 or 8 and not know you had a 224, 225, 226 and 227 extension.
Did you try dialing 226 and if so, what was the exact result?
The programming code phonemeister suggested should knock out the current problem, I am just trying to make sure it is not a voicemail issue of someone futzing around and next week it comes back and says "Sent 225." Verify now, drink Becks later.

I too have ran into this issue before..... thanks for the code phonemiester but how does this happen when , for ex., extension 226 isn't on the system? When I've had this issue I believe I had to assign an ext. 226 to the system and do the whole "call the phone with the message on the display and have both extensions lift the handset thingy".

Also try picking up the handset on the phone with the message on the display and dialing 226 and hit the msg button twice. Even if there is no 226 this should still work. Also I found out why this happens if anyone would like to know. Someone must have dialed a bogus extension (226) and hit the message key therefore sending the message to ext 226.

Thanks phonemeister, that worked! Just to answer the other questions, when I dialed 226 from another phone, I just got a busy signal since I don't have a 226 on the system. Also, our VMail system is a 4-port and starts of Port 056.

The sequence I always used: Intercom 22677 SPKR
This happens when the user forgets to take a CO line and presses the Intercom button instead. They could be dialing the number 2267xxxxxxxxxx.
So, on the intercom, the DK280 system thinks you want to send a MW light to 226 instead.
