Please make sure you have IIS installed on your Server. You should be able to install this by going to Add/ Remove programs and click the Windows programs. Should work after that.

Welcome to the board! We like all new members to complete their profile so we can get an idea of how much you know and how to help you better.

The last I knew, Windows 2003 wasn't officially supported by Toshiba although I've heard of some people getting eManager installed and working on it.

As Texas said, make sure IIS is installed and started, to include Management and Monitoring Tools, and turn off script blocking in your antivirus.

by default IIS on 2003 is all locked down. The default page is also an .asp page. By default, .asp's aren't allowed, you have to go into the server settings and allow them. Under the IIS manager, go under Web Service Extensions on the left and allow Active Server Pages.
Hope this helps!

I didn't have much luck when I tried (I didn't try for very long). I have been telling everyone that it does not work on Server 2003.

Would be nice to know of a way to get it to work.

I was sure when you try to install the Emanager program it does a system check and tells you if your system is compatible. It also tells you what OS system it isnt compatible with. Did you get any indication from the install right up front that it wasnt compatible with Server 2003?

thanks for all the answer !
- of course IIS is install, anyway you cannot install the emanage without the needed task (the installation will guide you anyway)

-This version of emanager is supported for win2k3 because the installation detect that version and guide you trought specific task to do

-my version of win2k3 is windows 2003 R2 maybe this can cause the problem ?

-jeffro7172: I tought it was that but changing options doesn't changed anything.. here is the default config :
[Linked Image from img292.imageshack.us]

from what I know by default IIS in windows server 2003 is all lock down so it seem that a script activate the right thing.... but still don't work !

Tadirantechtexas : no indications it's not supported.. in fact the installation detect my version and guide trought what I need to continue the installation (IIS install + somes networks tools)

Also this server is also used by exchange server so I have the exchange web , does the installation only install a /eManage/ that's it ? (I think it only do that but if it do something else, the problem can be elsewhere...)

also the installation create a emanage user maybe something to do with this ?

thanks again

I know the emanager uses a form of SQL and tries to install it if there is none detected. I remember having my IT guy come out with me to a trouble customer that was having issues. He actually had to create the emanager username and password in the SQL database. that was truly wierd. I hope any information that you found on this board has been helpful...

it install the free version of SQL server, witch is MSDE. I got numbers of different SQL server here and I all see them into the "SQL SERVER SERVICE MANAGER"

seem to be called WLAUSERPROFILE

my phone system provider probably don't know what is windows server 2003 so this is the reason why I ask my question here with you guy

Well the other thing that 2003 sets up by default is internet browsing security so unless you add the sites manually or (what I do) uninstall the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (can be found under add/remove programs, windows components. I wouldn't probably recommend this unless you are a comfortable administrator of that machine.
