Greetings Toshiba People! Does anyone remember what year Toshiba stopped producing the DK280?

I don't remember, but that is probably because I started working on Toshiba with the CTX line.

Here are some dates from Toshiba's FYI site:

1982 – 1985: The Strata VI
1986 – 1988: The Strata "e"
1989 First DK; DK56 and DK96
1990: Strata DK Release 2
1991 – 1992: Strata DK Release 3 in 1991 introduced Strata DK24/56/96
November 1992, the DK16 replaced the Strata VIe
1993: The Strata DK8
April 1993, the DK8 replaced the Se
June 1993 The DK280 replaced the DK24, DK56, and DK96
1994 – 1995: Toshiba introduced Release 2 of the Strata DK280
1996: Toshiba introduced Release 3.0 of the Strata, DK16e replaced the DK16
Also in 1996, the Digital Cordless Telephone
1997: The entire Strata DK product line was updated. The DK14, DK40, and DK424 replaced the DK8, DK16e, and DK280
1998: New product releases in 1998 included the PC Digital Telephone. The DK424 Release 3.2 added feature improvements and the DK424 Release 4.0 added ISDN Primary Rate Interface (PRI).
1999: The Strata DK40i added ISDN Basic Rate Interface (BRI) S/T interface
2000 The Toshiba IP Voice Gateway,MCK Branch Office EXTender, The Hospitality Management Information System (HMIS) Release 2, full duplex speakerphone
2001: MCK IP EXTender
2002: Toshiba introduced Strata CTX100 and CTX670, Also in 2002, powerful ACD capabilities were added to the Strata CTX
2003: SpectraLink wireless telephones, DKT2204-CT and DTK2304-CT, replaced DKT2004-CT and DKT2104-CT, SoftIPT soft phone client, Release 2.0 IP-enabled Strata CTX systems, IPT1020-SD IP telephone
2004: Release 2.2, the Strata CTX28
2005: The Strata CIX200 with Release 3.0, 3200-series digital telephones replaced the 3000-series, Strategy ES Release 4.6
2006: Strata CIX Release 4.1 added VLAN support, BCOCIU and BSTCIU Caller ID cards, The Video Communication Solution (VCS), new 2U hardware chassis MAS, the Strata CIX40 replaced the CTX28
2007: Strata CIX Release 4.2

As far as I know, the Strata DK280 was discontinued around year 2000 but with parts support for another few years. It was to make way for the Strata CTX but for some reasons unknown, it came out late and therefore, the Strata 424 bridged the void.

after they quit making a system they will support it six or four years after.,

Thanks guys! I apprecaite all of your help.

I was able to pull up a Toshiba document using the information Newtecky supplied. It said Toshiba started shipping the DK424 expansion cabinets in lieu of the DK280, in early 1997. So, the system in question has to be at least 10 years old since it has two DK280 cabinets.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks again.
