Might be a good time to suggest upgrading to a CICS or MICS depending on the number of existing extensions. The upgrade would permit any or all users have CID.

For example if they have 13-14 extensions NOW, the C^ is going to use one more and be awfully close to maxing out the system. Shame to spend so much just to have to upgrade in the near future.

Clients always cry budget, but if they want the features, they gotta play the piper.

and like you say dave, the CICs will not break the bank, i got a cics from a refurbisher and put it in a church last year. If they can afford it anyone can.

I was faced with this problem last summer, however they needed CID at only one desk, which hapenned to be right under the KSU (Merlin Plus), which was nicely installed with an indoors type demarc box behind the hinged door the KSU was mounted on, so I ran a single CAT5 cable carrying all 3 lines behind the wall to the floor, broke it out at the baseboard to the 3 lines, procured 3 matching Bell Atlantic branded CIDCO units, put them on the desk and the customer couldn't have been happier!
