Thanks for all the tips. I did finally get the issue fixed, after calling my local contractor. I did not get to talk to him when he came on site, but he did leave me a note stating
#43
will turn DND on and off on my analog extensions.

When you get a chance could you check the software level of that DK. I tried #43 on 2 of my DK's, a C/D and a E/F and it does not work. I have ver 4.3
I wonder if Toshiba's "Fix" was to remove a feature that was not in the manuals anyway.
