They don't have an ES or IES VM - they have an IVP8 ands that admin works fine.
I had her check the IP address of the phone system: 192.168.10.254 and of the Admin PC: 192.168.10.251. That is how I set it up when I installed eManager (5.0) for her 3 weeks ago. She can ping both, btu can;t connect. I had her look at program 916 to make sure it was the right IP address for the CIX and it is. Right now I had her delete eManager and she is reloading it.
Any other ideas?

Change the IP of the computer by 1 number, just in case the IP (.25)1 is in use somewhere else on the network, as p2ii said.
Other than that... see if you can IP in remotely, via VPN.

Reboot her pc. If that doesn't work, recycle the power on the CIX.

The error tells me that it has something to do with the PC running the software - VB ("Visual Basic") Scripts being short programs that are part of the Microsoft software (IIS and MSSQL Server) that are the platforms that eManager and ES run on. VB Scripts are also used by lots of others. Any of these programs could have installed a patch or an update (or maybe a completely new software?) that threw the VB Script "controls" as they relate to eManager, out of whack. I would find out what, if anything was recently installed on the PC. If that's the case, try uninstalling the new software. If that fails, see if there's a way to "roll back" the PC to the state it was at the time it was working. Windows XP machines employ a function called "System Restore" that does that. It has worked for me in the past.

So, did anybody actually find a CURE to the problem? I have gone thru five different computers, on and off the domain, IE-6, 7, and 8.
I still can't get this POS software to run for more than one time before getting errors.
Any ideas?

bnh - Welcome to the board. Please complete your profile so we can better serve you.
You haven't given us any information to adequately respond.
What version of Windows are you using, specifically? What version of eManager are you installing? What is the software level in the CIX?
Be nice.... Dissing the product right off the bat won't make you alot of friends here! :shhh:

Here are the conditions in which you will get this error; 1. NeMan can not connect to the sql database on the PC 2. PC connect to the CIX (IP Address), most of the time this is the case. 3. The NIC is locked up in the CIX, this is fixed by upgrading the CTX / CIX
R3.10 Release Note from MK060 Extract MK050 • When some MIB functions do not reply and the SNMP based network equipment does not receive a response from the CIX, the system will no longer cause LAN device connections to stop functioning. Such components that stop functioning are: cannot access CIX system with eManager, cannot access CIX from dial up modem, and soft keys to voice mail stop functioning
• The NIC port will no longer lock up on the processor card.
Release Note from R5.00 MR019 Systems on 5.00 MR018 and below will also have this issue. • The NIC port will no longer lock up on the processor card.
Resetting the system will also fix it, but the issue will come back in time.

I have no idea what version of anything is in the actual "phone" system. I know my local dealer comes here all the time, can program the thing from HIS laptop, and charges a fortune to do it.
They/he gave me Network eManager V5.20B05 to use.
Installed on XP-PRO (SP3) w/IE-6 and it worked for one(1) day.
Installed on XP-PRO (SP3) w/IE-7 and it worked for one(1) day.
I have tried granting all rights to all things to everyone on the computer, still no good.
My dealer keeps telling me it's the computer, but we used at least four different physical machines, and reinstalled the entire OS and application at least three time on each machine.
So how do I actually get this to work, just like it always works for him?

For starters, do you have popup blocker or any antivirus programs? If so, turn them off when using emanager.

No sir. No popup blocker or antivirus was installed for FEAR that it might break the software.
