The customers I have do like them and the moel would depend on the ranfe you need. The DKT2304 is the narrow spectrum and the DKT2204 is the spread spectrum.

Toshiba cordless phone product web page
I agree with Amy, it depends on the customer specs, but I have seen an equal amount of both installed.

The only issue that I've dealt with is the customer buying a cheap aftermarket headset and having static... but that is headset related and not Toshiba cordless phone related, so if they want a headset, get quality.

My understanding is that the cordless phones come with 4 programmable buttons. Does anyone have suggestions on what to put on each button? I assume the first should be intercom.

Totally depends on the customers needs, but usually INT, line 1, line 2, line 3, for a small office with appearing lines. For a larger business, we might do INT, VM-TRNS, ALL PAGE, CF.

Is it used as a Stand alone or piggybacked from another station?

Stand Alone: you can program the three button how you want them with the first being INT

PiggyBack: the 4 buttons are the first 4 of the original station.

My new DKT 2304 phone works great. Is there any way to get the caller-id number to appear? Only the caller-id name appears. I get both when I use a regular Toshiba phone.

Have the provider reverse the order they are sent.

If not, I think I recall being able to press a button while the call is ringing to display the next line of ID... maybe not, memory isn't working this late.

Is it really true that I could have Verizon send the caller-id number before the name? I just assumed it would be a setting in my CTX 100 system.

I think we had a simular complaint froma customer. Another tech tried for several minutes but only could not get both to display. I can't rememebr which it showed, or if he could switch it. I have not personally heard of a phone company switching name/number on CLID.

The cordless phone displays only the first line of the caller id. There's currently no way to switch it or display the second line of the caller id on those cordless phones. I doubt you'll get anywhere trying to get telco to switch the order of appearance.
