Hello anyone have any experience with networking CIX 670 with a Meridian Option 11 either through T1 or QSIG? I have a customer that would like to accomplish basics between two systems: accessing dialtone, msg waiting indicators, paging and extension dialing. Toshiba would have dialtone and voice mail system. Paging would need to be both ways. Any input is greatly appreciated.

You can do this thru a T-1 or Qsig. The Nortel needs to be able to do Industry standard Qsig. I've seen in the past other manufacturers say they are industry standard but really they have a hybrid. I dont think you will be able to do MSG waiting on two different systems unless you have two different integrations with the voicemail running at the same time.

I can almost guarantee you will not get any system other than another Toshiba to network over QSIG. Not only will it not work, Toshiba will not even help you try. T-1 E&M is going to be the option for you. Hell....Toshiba doesn't even refer to it as QSIG anymore. Just Stratanet.
