Hello,

A colleague and I are working on a remote phone system in our office and I am getting the following error message from eManager when trying to connect to the pbx: "Fail to connect to CA, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx : No Reponse from Device". I can ping the device and the associated voicemail device which is on the next incremented IP. I can even manage the Strategy voicemail with no problem. When I run an nmap, I can see all the same ports open as our working CTX devices, which is only port 21, I believe. The ping reponse time is relatively high, at 355ms average, and I do drop about 6% of packets. Would that cause problems? This setup did work at one time and for unknown reasons, I just get that error message all the time.

Will a restart of this system fix the problem?

I am using eManager version 4.10A34. The CTX 100 is some version between AR3.10MK057.00 and AR4.20M.00. Sorry about the ignorance of my post as I am not a real phone administrator.

The version of the phone system is important because there has been a problem with the admin of the processor locking up, especially when connected to a Stratagy ES.

For systems with 3.XX software, it was supposed to be fixed with ver 3.10 MK050.If you have ver 4.XX on a neweer processor, you would need to update the software to the latest 5.20 to fix it.

In the mean time, if it is a lockup issue, cycling power to the phone system should fix it for now.
