Hey guys, ive been using this site to find many answers... one i have not been able to find is..
I have 3 CTX 670's setup on Stratanet, Qsig over IP, everything works fine with calling, leaving VM.. Transfering calls.. etc.... But one problem that i still cannot figure out is When Calling into Node1, Answering call, and Transfering to VM using #407 to Node2's VM Box the call will Loop back to Node1's AutoAttendant. Below example extension is 3136 on Node2 Answer call on Node1 Phn, Cnf/Trn button, #407 3136# Call ends up at Autoattendant on node1, so the call never left Node1's system.
Sequence works when transfering to ext on local node1. just not when transfering across stratanet to node2... and this works Vice versa with transfering calls to VM from Node2 to Node1.
Any thoughts or Ideas? Let me know if i need to relay any more System configurations. Thanks for the help!

I'm not clear as to whether you have one voicemail system for both sites, or if both sites have their own.

Each Site has their own VM Server.

The #407 code will transfer the call only to the local voicemail system. If the person does not have a voicemail box on the local VM, the call will go to the default AA.

Thats right. Just transfer the call to 3136 and let it CFNA to its own VM system.

Just curious if there is a way to transfer to vm across nodes that have their own vm system using a node ID somewhere in that string? Anyone ever tried that? CNF 10 #407, where 10 would be a remote node ID.

I have tried this Travis.. Seems like it would work. I CNF a call, dial Node ID 10, then dial #407 it comes back with fast busy... at least with how i have it setup right now. This is exactly what i want though.... Example... we have 2 locations, both with their own VM servers, we want all calls to go to 1 main Receptionist, and have the ability for her to Transfer calls directly into VM on the remote node.

That would be cool. If you could get it to work by dialing the digits, it would be good to put a speed dial for each location for direct to Vmail

I just dis-assembled a Stratanet system today. One central ies32 Voice Mail in Node 80. The VM XFER key on the remote (Node 81) phones was a One Touch programmed as 80CNF#407. It worked because when you push the key, it goes to Node 80 and dials CNF#407.

You would have to dial a conf first with a caller on the line I would think, or they would just hear the DTMF for 80 in their ear.

I tried this and havent been able to get it to work. Im thinking it worked in your setup because it was a single central VM setup on all CIX/CTX's to point to that Vm server, in the 579 Sys VM data - FB 16. Any other ideas anyone?... Still drivin me crazy to figure it out. Dialing remote node 191 then #407 returns fast busy, dialing its own local node 190 #407 will return the 3 beeps like it accepted the command. maybe this will help?

I found my answer... In the Network eManager 5.2 manual, it says "Not all Stratagy features available to a single switch are available to remote Strata Net nodes. This is a result of the local node being directly integrated to the voice mail system. The following table shows the availability of voice mail features across the Strata Net." It has "Transfer Direct to Voice Mail - Attached Node-OK... Remote Node-R1.3 and higher" This looks like where my limitation is.. The other CTX670 i was working with has an older CPU... Mystery Solved... Ohh and BTW.. Network eManager 5.2 is awesome! Released 4-09

Upgrade that remote node, it can at least go up to 3.x software.
Gotta show some props to NeManager too, it makes managing networked systems so much easier.
