I have a customer with a CIX100 and 2 port LVMU vmail system. If a call is transferred to a busy extension, the caller has the option to "press * to hold, enter another extension, or stay on the line to leave a message". The sub would like those same options when a call is transferred and not answered. No problem entering another extension, as long as it's done before the greeting is over. I tried pressing * but that just gets me to "enter your passcode ..." Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure that's a good idea. If the call went unanswered, why offer to hold? Why not extend the ring time?

Another issue would be with a 2 port voicemail you would be out of ports and no calls answered if you all the Hold. Because it holds in the voicemail not in the system.

Thank you for your posts. I extended the ring time last Friday and after talking to the sub today we are going to see how he gets along.
