We recently found a problem with our SES voice menu. We have all the options 1-9 programmed, but when the user presses nothing (listening to the whole greeting), the system reroutes them to our main mailbox menu. Which in our case is the day message. How do we change what happens if the user presses nothing? Either by saying thank you for calling, replaying the current menu, or going to the parent menu?
Thanks!

890 is not the default menu. 990 is the default menu, but this could have been changed by the installer.
The chain done that you would have want to modify is what ever auto attendant menu is playing when people call. By default this is 990, but there can be cases where this is different, as with sub menus or multiple tenants.
I you are modifying the chanin done of the menu, do not point it to itself to repeat the menu. If you do, you will need reset the SES.
It is also not good policy to chain to a parent menu if that menu chains to that one, as it is still an infinate loop. The call should eventually lead to a phone ringing or a hangup, or a mailbox then a hangup.

I would be wary of making changes here without knowing exactly how your vm is set up. Your comment about "890" leads me to think there is a special set up taking place here. Be it multiple tennants (as newtecky said) or something else, it would be wise to know exactly. Otherwise the advice stated above is correct, its the done chain that you will want to change. I would get a call into your dealer and at least ask some questions.
