We are installing tracer at one of our clinics, this will be setup on 10 phones, we will be licensed for 16.
they also would like to have 2 cell phones that tracer also records.
iPhone running netphone or softphone???
Any Idea at all would be great, before I tell them no.

How are you recording the calls, CO tap, station tap or VoIP tap?
From your desription it would be a station tap. If you had a CO tap (which would be easier with a PRI) you would record all calls in or out, even if they are tandom out to a cell phone. If you use station tap, then only extensions pysically to the tracer would be recorded.
You could add VoIP taps and possibly use a record a soft IPT phone application, but it could get a bit complicated. You would need a second NIC in the tracer and a switch that can do port mirroring, and it may have to be on the public side of the network if the IPTs are on the outside.
