We installed a Triad S for a customer (he bought the system used from a third party) and it has a digital TalkPath voice mail connected to it.
The customer (a church/school) is using Auto Attendant to answer all calls. The 4 ports on the voice mail were named "VM 1", "VM 2", "VM 3" and "VM 4". The Digital phones each had a name like "Pastor", "Principal", "Youth" "Recept" etc.
When a call is transferred from Auto Attendant by one of the VM ports the phone receiving the call will read "Call from Pastor" or "Call from Youth" etc. instead of "Call from VM 1"....the call transfers fine but the names confuse everyone.
We've reprogrammed the names, rebooted the system several times and cannot clear the error.
Has anyone ever seen this? Software bug maybe? Any suggestions short of initializing the system and starting from scratch?
Thanks, Timbo

How are you programming the names for the station ports being used as voice mail ports?

Ed, I believe our tech used a digital phone connected to the vm ports to program the names.
We've tried it several times but the same thing always happens.
We are more familiar with the XTS and STS than the Triad....I was thinking this might be a known "bug".....don't know.

The systems are identical with regard to software for the most part; only the physical hardware and capacities differ. It's not possible to program the names using a digital phone because as soon as that digital port is connected to a DVM port, all station port parameters are defaulted.
You really can't name station ports used for DVM without using WinDBA. Even then, I am not so sure that it actually takes.
There is one other thing that you may want to try. Make sure that station lock is turned OFF under flash 06 and then reboot.

Thanks for the info Ed...we'll try the station lock fix and reboot to see if it helps.
