Hi, we have a Vodavi Starplus Traid phone system, i'm not sure exactly what model it is. But the phones look like this Traid 8 Button Digital Telephone The problem I am having is that on one of our extensions the voice mail does not pick up. If you transfer a call to this extension, it will just keep ringing. Her extension is the only one that has this problem. The user said that this happened out of the blue one morning. Before this morning the voice mail worked fine. You can still access the mailbox from the phone like your normally would. I have a few questions, does anyone know what the name of that phone system is. And more importantly, how do I configure the phone to automatically go to voicemail if the user does not pick up.

Go to that phone, and without lifting the handset, dial 6407440. Upon hearing the three-beep confirmation tone, you'll be all set.
The reason that it stopped working was because someone saw the FWD button lit, pressed it and canceled the forwarding to voice mail. This happens quite frequently.
You have a Vodavi Triad or XTS system, but without specific information from the label on the main system cabinet (KSU), we can only tell you the name of the product. You'll need to get us this information from the label near where the AC power cord enters the cabinet. We'll also need for you to dial 605 from any phone that has a display screen and write down the information that's shown. Once we have these items, we can give you more accurate information about the system that you have.
Preset forwarding to voice mail is dependent upon the level of software that your system has. The procedure that I gave you will work on even the oldest version of software, but there's the risk that someone will come along and cancel it in the future.
More recent versions will allow this setting to be a permanent feature, but you'll need the services of a trained technician to set that up in the system's database. Even if you have an old version of software, the technician can still update it to the most current version. We can't give that kind of information out here.
