Has anyone had a problem with the CCC support site? I've been trying to download some Wave and SBX documents and its real slow. When I finally found the .pdf files I wanted I get maybe 50k of a 10M file and it just hangs forever.

I thought maybe it was an issue with my equipment/connection at my office, but its no different here at home.

How do they expect us to sell and support their products if we can't access the documentation?

There have been quite a few complaints about Vodavi's site lately, as in it having been orphaned.

As a dealer since 1991, I had to learn from one of my friends here who is a Comdial dealer how to reach it. I even had to use his credentials to access it, since it wasn't open to Vodavi dealers at the time.

This is exactly what happens when you put a bunch of CG's in charge. Their blinders only allow them to focus on the matter at hand. They can't seem to comprehend the full picture.

Needless to say, many of the links from my web site are dead now due to their "minor errors".

They're replacing the CCC with V-connect. Have you tried that? I downloaded a few things yesterday with no problems.

So how do you get V-connect? When they sent out the notice quite some time ago I replied and have sent several request since with no response from them.

Same here, Bill. I managed to establish an account there and could communicate initially, but all they want to talk about is the Wave, the SBX320 and the XTS. Even the XTS is not really a high-profile product. I've tried to figure out their CG terminology, like "road map" and "dash board", I've entered their support request areas and haven't had a bit of luck.

Any questions I had about STS or any old products seemed to have gone out the window. It is sad, very sad that we are trying to sell their products and they treat us like red-headed step children if we aren't selling the Waving flop.

Thanks Dave, Well it says my email doesn't exist, so how do I get all those emails? The application is so far left on my screen I can't even see what it says. I could just barely see the place to put my email address. I also see I've blown away the original email since they never replied when I would apply. My guess would be I'm too small for them to mess with.

This is all I can see on the request screen.

(ner to obtain a V-Connect account.)

EDIT: I can still go to the Vodavi site and log in as a dealer.

I requested a V-Connect account a few days ago and so far nothing back from them. I'd think two business days would be enough to respond. Unfortunately I now have to put off a customer I was scheduled to see tomorrow due to this. I'm getting real frustrated with Vertical...

I called the regional Vodavi/Vertical guy and he gave me a phone number to call. I am trying to dig around and see if I could locate it. It did not take long to get access to it, I think by the time I hung up the phone it was ready. It is nice, and they had a question/answer for the products, but the only item that gets regular answers is the Wave. I have been trying hard to locate the feature list for 3.5 on the XTS and still can not find it, so there is some stuff that it is missing.

This forum helps more that anything that is on that site as far as STS, XTS, SBX and the older stuff.

cswroe, if you can find it please post or PM. If that's the only way we're going to be able to get revisions and stuff I'd better push harder.

I've placed messages over a month ago at the VConnect site and still no response. I too have gotten most of my answers here. That is pretty sad.

I'm hoping that Vertical will release these products and focus on the Wave on their own. Maybe LG will then step in and work on bringing many of the original Vodavi employees back together. That would make my perfect day.

I don't think that will get you into vconnect, but does work on ccc. I ended up changing password since I have tendency to hit the wrong key....twice. I logged in as someone else and thought I doubled my customer base!

Bill: I will make a call tomorrow and PM that number.

I'm glad I'm not the only one longing for the "Good old days" Having been a Vodavi dealer since '88, I have definitely noticed a change of focus. As a small dealer, I am disappointed. My experience was that Vodavi bent over backward for me many times. I guess I got spoiled. Sorry, but I don't mean to make this post a complaint forum. It just touched a nerve.

Dave, I feel your pain. I too became spoiled with the down-home way that Vodavi operated. If you had a problem, they welcomed you to go straight to the top if it made you feel better. That's just it, you never needed to do that. As I am sure that Scott and many others can attest, the company is not the same since Vertical took over.

We sold our first Vodavi system in 1989 and never looked back. We have been a 98% Vodavi shop ever since and they appreciated our business. Today, I can't even get a response to an e-mail. What a shame. Vodavi was once a great "people" company. Not any more.

Today, if you aren't selling Vertical's Wave product, they aren't interested in you. The sad thing is that most remaining original dealers aren't selling it.

The CCC site is PITA, half the time it doesn't even load pages. The ftp.vertical site works and there is some useful info on there.

I have a spec sheet for XTS 3.5, it is I belive from March or April of last year. If anyone is interested please PM me and i can email it.

If you are having any issues with V Connect or CCC call 1-877-Vertical and hit option 2 then option 2. This gets you into Phoenix (Vodavi)now Vertical and they can help you there. Why waste all this talk and bashing when it can be solved quickly. They can create new tech ID passwaords and MAS ID's in minutes and make sure you are taken care of!

Vertical has an SES division that caters to the smaller dealers (non Wave) and actually are the old Vodavi RSM's. I would recommend you check out the roadshows and sign up for them at the distributor locations throughout the country. If you are active these RSM's will see you. If you don't know who the RSM's are I would recommend calling the 877-Vertical number.

We aren't bashing. We are simply speaking of our experiences in an effort to figure out what dealers should do. Many dealers come here to discuss our options because we receive little to no communication otherwise except sales-oriented e-mails.

One question though: Shouldn't the RSMs be calling the dealers?

I talked to one of the inside sales reps in Sarasota and they set me up with V-Connect in just a few minutes. It seems that my email was not registered correctly. It actually is a pretty good site for the most part.

Bandit,

Meaning no disrespect here. When I'm sent an email that I need to change the way I'm doing things to further my ability to take care of my customers and I follow those directions to the letter with no satisfaction, I don't believe that's my problem. I and many others responded as requested by Vertical, with no response from them. We followed the directive we were given, the blame isn't on this end.

I strive to provide good customer service. Shouldn't Vertical be expected to do the same?

If those at Vertical don't like what's being said here, they can correct the problem. The ball's in their court. I will continue to give advice to my customers based on their needs, not based on what some company is trying to push. Our suppliers need to understand they aren't the only fish in the Sea. We will look for the support our customers deserve. Period.
