I use Commit also after looking into several others that were more expensive. Commit seenms to be designed for computer service companies but has been very adapatable to our telecom service company. Their customer service response is great. They also have an informative online customer forum. https://www.commitcrm.com/forum/

I only work for my self but would be very interested in outsourcing some work if I want to take on larger projects. Since I am in canada, my bank allows quickbooks or quickbooks pro to log into my account. Does quick books pro allow for millage and other expenses entries?

Personally I've never used it. I just give the IRS a rough estimate at the end of each year. :shhh: As for other expenses, I assume you can just create an Expense account and use that for tracking each expense you have.

Yes you can track whatever expenses you want with QB Pro. If you don't need the extra options with the more expensive platforms then the Pro version is good enough and a lot less expensive.
As for mileage, if the vehicle is used strictly for your business it's a non-issue. If not, then YOU have to keep a daily log, then either you or your accountant will do the math at the end of the year.
I've used the pro version since about 1998.
