Have Vodavi STS Model 3500. CID always present from TELCO. CID not displayed on keyset. Cycle system power, CID displays. After awhile, no CID displayed. Cycle power, CID displays. Reseated modules twice. CID only on CO1 and CO3. Have two CLID modules in system and swaped them - still have problem. Can't find anything unexpected in system or voice mail programming. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure you have a 3 or 4 second delay on each line. Fl. 40 Page C Button 2. Other than that, the only time I have had this sort of issue was with the local cable company. I'm not sure why but it would work for 2 or 3 calls after reboot but would then just stop for no reason. I haven't had this problem with any other carriers.

I upped the delay from 5 to 7 seconds to try to eliminate this as an issue. Didn't help. I see the CID on the CO line everytime. Sometimes it stops working after a ~5 calls, other times it works for a few hours. One test I stopped after 30 successful calls in a row.
Thanks for the reply.

I have had a problem once or twice with the CID board. Do you have another one that you can swap with? When I had this problem on an NEC DSX once, tech support wanted me to be sure I had a good separate ground on the KSU. It turned out to be the KSU but at the time, there was some good forum discussion on CID and grounding. I think it was one of the CLEC members that explained why it could also be a factor.

This is just a thought. I had a KSU a while back with same problem. Checked everything possible. Nothing. Started to change CID board & found that bottom part of CID card did not plug into the socket. Replugged card & presto. It worked. KSU came from factory that way.

This was a known fact, that upon receiving ksu, it was advised to check cid board in right side of ksu.
When leaving place of manufacture it appeared that the card may not of been in line with the male/female connector.
Before installation we would pull card out and reinstall. If you looked real close you would see that the pins were not matched with the base,or the top or bottom of the cpu board. This was a few years ago but there could still be some in the field. The caller id would be hit/miss or be doa.

Agree with Draynor and STSe on checking the card. Also as MNDAVE said about the ground, and we also had an issue with high AC voltage on Tip to ground and Ring to ground that would cause issues with the CID. A reset would fix for a while but eventually the Telco fixed the issue.

Thanks for the info. KSU has a good ground and all cards are installed properly.
I tried to disable ICLID records (50, Page D, button 11)for stations, but cannot access Flash 50/51 Page D from from a keyset or computer. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That would be in the latest version of software if that is what you have running on that particular system. I don't believe it was not in earlier versions of the software. Although I don't think that is your issue.
