I found out the hard way today that if you convert an XTS to four digits on a system that has been in operation for a number of years that as soon as you program the leading digit, the extension numbers all "flex" back to their original fixed numbers. In other words the database reindexes. Names on the phones get scrambled, did numbers ring to the wrong extensions etc. A pain to fix, not to mention creating 4 digit mailboxes and keeping the original ones because people didn't pull thier messages off.
