I have a DVX with a bad battery. I replaced the battery and loaded a backup of the programming onto the system. Everything seems to be working except the Caller ID. Flash 56 shows YES YES 2400 2 and the ring delay is 04. All the existing parts are in place with a new battery. The CID unit is hooked to port 2. The Caller ID used to work before the power outage. The voicemail and all other programming seems to be in place and working. Any suggestions?

One other addition to my post is that I hook my laptop, with Hyperterminal, to the CID box at 2400 8-N-1 and I get the Caller ID information on my laptop. The phones just show line ringing when I hook the 9 pin cable back to the RS 232 port 2. The phones do have a CLID NAME/NUMBER button on them and it is active.

Have you tried to turn on ETRACE. To see if its even making it into the system? Did you confirm the baud rate out for CID?

Try disabling the settings in Flash 56 to ICLID-NO / NAME-NO....make a couple calls in ..then re-enable them...then do a system reset. I had to do this the first time setting up CID on my DVX.

Recently, for whatever reason I lost NAME on CID and the only thing to get it back was to re-initialize the whole system.

I think the software gets glitchy on these units as they age.
