I cut over a PRI yesterday. It went rather smoothy. The most irritating thing is that the XTSc sets up only 157 routes so any three digit DID that the last two numbers are higher than 57, such as 858, ends up being assigned to route 001 instead of route 157. Any number with 59 ends up with route 2 and so on until the last two digits are back to 00 again and then route 100 comes into play.
I worked that out for the main numbers I wanted to get working right away. Today I upgraded the system from 2.20 to the latest FP4 version. That went okay except for one thing. All DID routes where programmed for DISA 24 hours. I discoverd this after I called the main number from my cell only to get dialtone again. After the third try I dialed 100 got dialtone once more then I hit 0 and the operator's phone rang. So the bottom line is this: The admin program for fp4 is doing its own thing! It changed the routes to DISA not me. Consider this a warning if you use it as backup or for upgrading.

True, 858 would end up by default hitting route 158, but people don't understand that DID numbers needn't match route numbers. Any DID numbers that are not reachable are processed as follows:
Unanswered calls go to route 000
Busy/no destination calls go to route 001
That has been the default forever. Found that out the hard way myself.

Actually with the XTSc the dids with last two digits 58 to 99 are all assigned route 001 by default in the FP4 admin program anyway.
