Hey guys, we have a problem with our only Iwatsu ZT-D. We have done programming on this system over the last couple years, but not real recently. Our recollection is that the password is 492, but we can't enter programming with it now. We want to change ring assignments, but can't get started! Thanks.

Maybe another phone left in program mode somewhere?

Thanks, maybe. I'm not on site yet, and just realized that ext.s' 121 & 122 must be idle. I have no idea whether they were when we were on site.

The password on the ZTD really isn't that difficult to crack. When you get into programming and dial the 492, it qualifies each digit. For example if the password is 444, just dial the default 4-9, then it drops out. You know that the first digit is a 4, just try another digit. 4-8, it drops again. 4-4-0, it drops when the 0 is pressed. It is just process of elimination.
I remember there is a code you can enter on the keypad and the password shows up on the display. I have no idea what the key sequence was. I was amazed when another tech showed it to me.
Tip and ring, the work of the devil!

On the ZTD's that I have dealt with the password was feat.+0+177 I'm pretty sure. It's been awhile but pretty sure that's right. I always plug in a 24 button display phone and a dss back at the ksu and pop the bridging clips on 120, 121 and 122.
