I used to work for Executone. The first fully digital switch I learned was called the SRX. Executone named it the Entree system. I was just woundering if anybody knows if its still around? It was american made down in the good old state of Texas. (Dallas).

You are correct about Teltronics. Years ago I talked to them when they were looking to add a dealership in Chicago. The system had a lot of neat features. I have a customer with a branch office that was still using one as late as a year ago.

It was feature rich for its time.

I really loved the feature for automatic move and changes. You can swp phones out by typing in the 10 digit code for another phone. each phone had its own 10 digit id.

I would always remote program a new phone the way the wanted it and gave it an id of 999999999 and send them a new phone. when they got it, they would just type in a code press 999999999 and their phone was programmed and you ccould now move that phone where ever you wanted to go.

Man I wish comdials was that easy!!!!

Teltronics still makes parts/supplies for the Vision/SRX system, though it's fundamentally a discontinued line. There's still a bunch of SRX systems out there, and more than a few places servicing them.

Telt has since moved on with the new IP platforms and major enhancements to the IXP.
